Androniki 2011

Despite the fact that this project was shot last year, I just managed to finish it a few weeks ago and uploaded it today. The full project lives here.

On November 30th, we (re)launched the Public Bureau website and the online store. I have been wanting to write about this since then, but an inevitably hectic schedule prevented me from doing so.
The full Inaugural Series is online and available at the P/B shop. As mentioned on the website; "We consider the world to be our home. Thus, we like to think of our website as our international, boundaryless flagship store" so for the time being our garments are only available online.
Pop by the P/B website and take a look, drop us a line, even.
This past summer I started working with Anna Koumoushi again, for her Fall/Winter campaign & her brand website. After a great couple of months and an endless series of emails always starting with something in the context of "I was thinking..." or "What if we did this.." and some of the most constructive meetings I've ever had, we came to completing the campaign and launching the annakoumoushi website.
Anna's work derives from raw emotions and simple ideas, resulting in a solid, unadulterated, uncompromised and genuine result. I guess, that's why I clicked with Anna and am able to work so well with her, we share that common conceptual and visual path, I mentioned a while back. The full project lives here.
Check out the annakoumoushi website, and while you're at it, take a peek at her blog too.
... to be the official announcement of the Public Bureau launch.
It is what you think it is: a clothing line. I've always wanted to do something related with the field and the IPWT umbrella sort of prepared the ground and gave us the means for this to begin happening.
I'm not looking to bear the label of a fashion designer here, or pretend to be a grande connoisseur of the sartorial art and I do find the word "Fashion" to be widely abused, especially in the past few years. So, though I do do the designing, for the most part, I like to see it as another project. An amazinly fascinating project, that is.
You can check out the Public Bureau website, where all the garments will be exclusively available in November, and find out more, and maybe register too!!
A few weeks back we did a great shoot in a vineyard outside Limassol and it was a great experience, despite the sunburn. Actually, working on annakoumoushi's new mini campaign, or any other annakoumoushi project, is pleasantly overwhelming because we seem to share a visual path as well as the reasons which justify our being on that path. The visual reference to -and reminiscent of- the past, which is something I am certainly going to write a post about in the very near future, probably plays the main role in this.
So this time, we're experimenting a bit with the overall image and the coexistence of the photography with linear elements. I'm not sure where I'll eventually go with this, but I am definitely enjoying the ride.
Along with my other ongoing projects these past few months, I managed to create a humble "home" for all my random, mainly iPhone generated, photography.
Imageournal, (Image+Journal), is a little showcase of what I see throughout the day, and given that a SLR camera, or a point & shoot for that matter, is kinda hard to carry around I shoot with what I have on me, my iPhone. Not all images are shot with the 5MP iPhone 4 camera, but the majority of them are and I am still amazed by how good the colors come out.
Most of the images will be available as limited edition prints of five per photograph. (More info coming soon and at Imageournal)
I won't say much, though I am itching and squirming to do so. IPWT is working on a pair of soft launches in the next few weeks, one of them requires people to do some... talking to us...
Just make sure you're around in the following days...
We are preparing for the launch of our Brandlift Initiative Project, called "BrandTalk". Think of it as a facelift for companies & brands! If anyone would like to be part of it, they can just throw us a line at contact(at)ipwtcs.com or brandtalk(at)italkbrand.com and tell us about their brand/company/business' image challenges.
Androniki is the brand name of Androniki Yeratziotou's jewelry line consisting of pieces made from wood, plastic and foil-covered acrylic. We recently worked together on a promo-shoot for Androniki, which will go online with the launch of their website, and on the IPWT website as well, as soon as it's completed.
No, this time I actually didn't fall into the pit of blog-restricting procrastination. I was actually CSS-wrestling with the new website to get it to where I wanted it to be. I set this up in Cargo Collective but had to go and alter a zillion of pieces of code (lots and lots of trial&error went on here) but it's a process I forgot I liked so much.
Projects are being added as they happen and I'm still putting together some more work to put on in the next few weeks. Feel free to stop by and say hi.
