annakoumoushi Fall-Winter 2012-13 teaser

It's that time of the year again: The annakoumoushi time. Miss Pantopoli is the ak-face once again, but this time we went for an on location shoot at Library and a different feel. The new shoot/campaign mirrors the multifacetedness of the new annakoumoushi collection and Anna's infatuation with introducing new shapes and forms via her pieces.

In Anticipation

I swear, this post could be huge, I could be writing for hours about how this time around, the process was different, how many "firsts" were tackled along the process and how everything starts to shape into new magical stuff. But I wouldn't want to bore anyone so I'll stick to the important: New line, new shoot, new space, first video.

Noomi Rapace | Dazed & Confused

Noomi Rapace from Prometheus and the original Dragon Tattoo was photographed by Sølve Sundsbø and styled by Styling Katie Shillingford for the June issue of Dazed & Confused. "Amazing" would be a poor word to describe this shoot.

annakoumoushi spring/summer 2012

Though we posted this project around the interwebs a while back, I am officially re-announcing it here too.

For this project we went on a more… colorful direction and Ioanna, the new happy face of annakoumoushi, was a great model.

You can catch the project in it's entirety at the IPWT website

In annakoumoushi we trust.

"The Inside Job" for Avant Garde

And while we're at it: the April Avant Garde Issue, marks the 2-year anniversary of AG. The topic for this issue, irrelevantly enough with the 2nd birthday, focuses on Pornography from many points of view. I was thrilled to shoot the fashion editorial for this issue, which was styled by Margarita Papatheodoulou, and we aimed for a trash-porn 80s inspired theme. Despite some people reacting to the topic and even reading it as vulgar, we feel that our trash porn task was fulfilled. So there. Take a look at the full shoot over at my website, or in the latest issue of Avant Garde.

annakoumoushi S/S 2012 Teaser

Last weekend the AK and AP creative spirits united once again for a new shoot.

The new annakoumoushi collection goes into exploring the path the previous one started. The SS 2012 line does that by introducing new shapes and volumes to what one would expect to be uneventfully small: accessories. The new rings, necklaces, earrings, broaches and headpieces are re-introduced in beautiful, organic-like constructed volumes and are delivered through amazing textures and color schemes.

Back to the shoot; the material was great to work with and the new face of annakoumoushi, yet to be revealed, was refreshingly great to work with. So, once again, I was challenged to take the new campaign to a different direction. Still working on it, let's see where it will go.

The above is one of the mini-teasers, head over to the annakoumoushi website to check out the other one.

Daria + Vogue + Inez & Vinoodh

A while back I had posted about Daria Werbowy becoming a staple in the industry (and I mean that in the best possible way) and how good it was too see her in more and more stuff.

She recently teamed with Inez & Vinoodh for a February Vogue Paris fashion editorial, and most importantly a promo video shot in Las Vegas. The photos are amazing, but the video is excellent! I really like the flashing editing, plus Jessica 6 provide the soundtrack.

Enjoy the video below.

Androniki 2011

Despite the fact that this project was shot last year, I just managed to finish it a few weeks ago and uploaded it today. The full project lives here.

P/B Preparations

Next week we will be working on the big shoot for the full Public Bureau Inaugural Series, which will be available to order later this month. While I was sorting out the files from the previous shoot, I found this snap which was not used in the pre-campaign. I like smiles!

H2O11

I'm definitely not the person whose photo sits next to the word "Workaholic" in dictionaries. However, I do put a lot of time on client's projects -often at quite unorthodox hours- and do stress over deadlines. But what additionally keeps the cogs in my head turn nonstop are the little (and not so little) side-projects I plot, draft and mold until I feel they're really meant to happen. In need of some time-off and to escape the fact that I started shifting into a "mental hyperventilation" mode, I took a couple of days off and spent them with THE bunch of friends out of town.

Apart from swimming, cooking and eating nonstop, we had some productive fun too. Thanks to Myria's underwater camera, Maggie's underwater styling efforts and Andria's breath-holding abilities we (drank some of the pool and) made a couple of fun shots.

I also had a chance to try some of the awesome Tattly tattoos I had received a couple of days before. (FYI: Instagram was the gang's gadget fetish this summer, thus the snaps.)
