Some very gifted people put together these retro-style posters for modern-day movies. Loving that "Dark Knight" adaptation by Brandon Schaefer.

Kanye West acts like a cocky, self-centered, judgmental brat; that is a fact. A statement backed by what happened with Taylor Swift at the VMAs and this hilarious blog. Having said that, I now state that he is an utterly talented, über-stylish, very gifted artist and his tour with Lady Gaga will doubtlessly be a super extravagant/alternatively-pop/awesomely-stylized showcase of talent! I just had to post this 30-second promo video, five words: grain, slow motion, sans-serif.

Oops! It seems that the Gaga+West tour has been cancelled; Gaga will continue solo on this project... I guess it's officially unanimous and globally agreed that KW should've kept his mouth shut at the VMAs.

Monday, September 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM Electric, capable of carrying four people, futuristic! NO CO2! Still a concept, I wonder when it will get the greenlight for actual production... (Also, the shoes of the cyclist are awesome, can I get those at least?)

Harry Pearce of Pentagram has designed a tribute to the staff members of the London Science Museum who died during the First and Second World Wars.
The memorial is a two-layer iron-cast plaque. Each layer represents a world war. The dates are cleverly delivered over the two layers, while a cross is cut through both layers. Again, I love the condensed sans serif marriage with the serif font used for the names (not particularly visible in the picture above).

Well, obviously Lady Gaga is the "Cover Face" of V61. To be honest, I was surprised to see a Gaga cover so soon, given that there was a quite elaborate pictorial of Lady Gaga in V60. V61's coverstory is photographed by (who else?) Mario Testino, and I cannot wait to get my issue... (Especially since there's an exclusive V project with Kirsten Dunst in it).
