The Thought Police - Ektoise

It's like I'm dreaming via YouTube! Ektoise, which I've featured on MemRants a couple of times, just released the video to the Black Dog Remix of The Thought Police, directed by Sasha Aleksandrov

I dedicated a long rant on how and why I love industrial and construction sites. So seeing this video: a gorgeously crafted time-lapse video of industrial areas and the inside of these factories (pardon my industrial ignorance), rendered me breathless for a while. Kudos to Ektoise & The Black Dog for an awesome track and to Sasha Aeksandrov for an out-of-this-world video. My kind of eye-candy!

Ektoise Debut Album & Subsea EP

I've mentioned Ektoise a while back and after that I got acquainted with their work a bit more. It's one of those discoveries that happen in a chained manner; through other artists, via creative collaborations and you're just so happy they happened.

Their self-titled debut album, Ektoise, is an electronic-infused organic roller-coaster ride. It goes from smooth to rough before you know it, and then back to smooth seamlessly, with the assistance of lurking vocals and reverbed electro beats. Miasma is my favorite track off Ektoise

Their debut album and a mini EP are available to download for free off their official website. [Ektoise | SUBSEA. Mixes]

I can't wait to get my hands on their new work.

Ektoise

A couple of months ago, I mentioned Purity Device in a post on Bola, saying that he would be remixing one of their tracks in an upcoming release.

Well, a "little bird" told the that Purity Device changed their name to Ektoise, and that their Remix/Reform album will be released around the end of August with "retouched" tracks by Bola and The Black Dog among others. Both the Bola and The Black Dog versions of their track The Thought Police can be heard on their myspace page.

By the way, I just love the accompanying imagery as well... Those Australians can be so impeccable...
