The Earth Song.

I was reminded of this song when I saw it playing on the tv at the gym today. I couldn't help but feel sad, not because of MJ's passing as such (been there, done that), but mostly because this (heartbreakingly) beautiful song, and its excellent video (directed byNick Brandt), vividly depict the situation of our planet. The shocking part is that it was written almost 15 years ago, which means that nothing has changed, we're still the same, and we still ravage, ruin and kill; animals, people, the earth.

This is the world we live in.

Two typographers ( Pierre & Damien / plmd.me) and a pro race pilot (Stef van Campenhoudt) collaborated to design a font with a car.
The car movements were tracked using a custom software, designed by interactive artist Zachary Lieberman. (openframeworks.cc)

New Project Teaser (Another One!)

I officially used my new Canon 500D for the first time, this past Saturday, on this project... Don't get me wrong, I adore my 12MP Canon PowerShot G9, but this one rocks! I am currently working on the post-production portion of the project and I am being stunned by all the detain the 500D captures. (Ecstatic scream goes here).

Justice - DVNO

I bumped on Justice in an Alex Moulton DJ Mix, (the MSTRKRFT remix of "D.A.N.C.E." was featured in it), and in search of some other cool tunes I found this eye candy video, which will undoubtedly appeal to all retro-loving graphic designers... I love their infatuation/obsession with the cross symbol! Who made this video?

"Burtonian" Alice In Wonderland

As if "Alice In Wonderland" wasn't eerie enough, as if it weren't surreal enough, Tim Burton and his crew are "rendering" it in a 2010 release (yeah yeah, everybody knows that), adding another weirdness layer to it... I almost wet myself when I came across these today! I just can't wait!
